Sakshi Malik, a wrestler, won gold in the women’s 62 kg division in the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Her success increased the number of medals won by the nation and made the country proud which also motivated many youngsters in India.

Wrestler Deepak Punia increased India’s medal haul by winning the gold medal in the men’s freestyle 86 kg competition at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022.

Vinesh Phogat won the women’s 53 kg gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games by defeating Chamodya Keshani Maduravalage Don of Sri Lanka in their final group match.

Naveen defeated Muhammad Sharif Tahir of Pakistan to win the gold medal in men’s freestyle 74 kg wrestling.

Bajrang Punia 

Bajrang Punia, a 65 kg champion, and Olympic bronze medallist, successfully defended his title by winning three of his four matches in the preliminary rounds. He is a wrestler, brought honor to his nation by winning gold in the Men’s 65 Kg division.

Lakshya Sen

Lakshya Sen won the gold medal in men’s singles badminton at the Commonwealth Games 2022, following PV Sindhu.

Kamal Sharath

He broke Kamlesh Mehta’s record of eight National Championships. He became the first Indian table tennis player to win the title ten times as Senior National Champion. Kamal won the Gold Medal in the Men’s Singles Table Tennis event at the CWG 2022.
